Bynum Tennis and the Wayne Indoor Tennis Club selectively invite promising junior players an opportunity to join the 2023-24 season of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) North Jersey Junior Team Tennis League. The Junior Team Tennis (JTT) provides a positive experience for junior players through a team format with organized matches, practices and coaching.
USTA - Parents will receive a team number to register players online at USTA.com. Cost is $45 fee charged by the USTA to register.
TEAMS – a minimum of 8 players will be required on any team to field an age group team. Some players may be invited to register for multiple age groups to increase play opportunities. Selection is solely at the discretion of program director.
USTA/NTRP RATINGS– Ratings will help players understand their competitive level; allow coaches/captains to provide more competitive matches for players and provide a guide for players to identify their needs to progress to desired level of competitive play.
This is a United States Tennis Association (USTA) North Jersey Junior Team Tennis League utilizing the USTA National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) to provide player ratings. New players will be asked question to 'self-rate' during registration process and coaches will verify the level of play.
Cut off date for any age group is November 1, 2023. If a player ages out of an group BEFORE this date, they must play up into the next age group.
Players are eligible to compete in an age group up to 6 months AFTER they reach the maximum age of that age group.
NOTE: Because we are a non-advancing league, players may finish the season in the age group they were eligible for at the start of the season.
